Elizabeth Clark, DVM
Liz joined Town and Country in May 2020. She received a Bachelor’s degree from University of New Hampshire in Animal Science in 2015. She attended the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada and earned her DVM degree in 2020. Her areas of interest include acupuncture, emergency medicine and exotic animal care. Liz moved to the North Country with her fiance Ryan who teaches at St Lawrence University. She has two dogs, 4 ferrets and 2 horses. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding and driving, skiing and fiber crafts.
Lydia Hagelund, DVM
Lydia joined our team in 2019 as an associate veterinarian. Originally from the north country, she attended Clarkson University for her undergraduate studies. She then moved to Arizona where she attended Midwestern University. Lydia takes great interest in nutrition, oncology and integrative medicine. She currently lives in Potsdam with her bloodhound, Gertie. Lydia enjoys yoga, hiking and traveling in her free time.
Virginia Irish, LVT
Virginia works in our Potsdam Office. She graduated from SUNY Canton Veterinary Technician Program and was licensed in 1999. For 9 years she worked on a 4000 head, heifer raising facility and milked over 2000 cows and cared for calves for 8 years. She joined the Town and Country team in January of 2015. Virginia has lived in Waddington NY her entire life and has a hobby farm with her husband John and son Matthew. On her little farm she has, horses, miniature donkeys, miniature horses, chickens, turkeys, ducks, button quail, cats and dogs. Her hobbies include, spending time with her family, horseback riding, hunting and ATVing. Asked what she likes best about her job, she will tell you, getting to see new patients every day, rooting and working for improvement in the tough cases and enjoying the comradery she has with her co-workers.
Brooke Gravlin, LVT
Brooke joined the Town and Country Team in March of 2016. She received her A.A.S in Veterinary Science Technology from SUNY Canton in May of 2016. Before joining our team, Brooke completed her preceptorship at the Potsdam Town and Country. She is currently working towards her B.S in Veterinary Technology. In her spare time, Brooke likes to spend time with family and go camping. Brooke and her finance Mica have around 12 rabbits that keep them fairly occupied. She also has a dog named Sukie, who is an adorable little Pekinegese.
Kiersten Greenwood, LVT
Kiersten joined Town and Country in June of 2016. She received her A.A.S. Degree in Veterinary Science at SUNY Canton in May 2016. Kiersten and her fiance Jon, are in the process of building their first home! They have 2 dogs, Teddy and Otis, 5 cats, Kenna, Kato, Kazer, Keeley and the newest addition, Digit. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and pets. When asked what her favorite thing is about her job, she says that she loves learning something new every day.
Paige Bortnick, LVT
Paige received her Associates Degree from SUNY Canton and is currently finishing her Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science. Paige loves helping animals, making their lives better and seeing them everyday. What she also loves is how much helping animals makes people happy. Paige says that, "happy animals make happy people and that's a great feeling". She and her family are from Canton NY. Her brother Zachary also had a large part in Paige choosing the veterinary field. He was diagnosed with cancer when he was young and treatments have been hard. The one thing that never failed to make him smile and laugh was animals. And she wanted to make a difference with the animals that have such amazing effects on humans. She currently lives with her fiance, Eddie in Potsdam with their two dogs, Beau and Arrow.
Savona O'Brien, LVT
Savona is originally from Aberdeen Idaho and has made upstate New York her home. Knowing that she wanted to work with animals from a very young age, she graduated from SUNY Canton with an A.S. in Veterinary Science Technology in 2017. Savona has always volunteered with local shelters and rescues, and her favorite part of the her job is helping animals make a recovery. She and her fiance, Kody, have a retriever, Wilson and a cat, Shady.
Colleen Conklin, LVT
Colleen graduated from SUNY Canton with an associate's degree in Veterinary Technology in 2014 and was licensed that summer. After working full time as a licensed veterinarian technician for Town and Country for 3 years she decided to pursue a different full time career in elementary Special Education working as a Certified Teaching Assistant at a local elementary school. Colleen continues to practice veterinary medicine and works part time in our Potsdam office. You will most likely see Colleen on Saturday's, but occasionally on other days of the week as she fills in when she can. She enjoys providing palliative care to clients, and helping owners provide quality end of life care for their beloved pets. She also enjoys radiology, hematology, and communicating with, and educating clients on all aspects of veterinary medicine. She currently resides in Waddington, New York with her wife, Britney, their pitbull, Carmen, and their two cats, Macey and Pippy. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, camping, and gardening.
Emily is currently going to school to become a veterinary technician. She loves to read, write and play guitar. She has 5 animals at home; a rabbit named Bobbie, two cats; Casper and Morty and two dogs; Delilah and Raphael. It makes Emily feel great knowing while working at Town and Country she is able to share her love for animals by helping them and their loved ones.
